Week 2

Hello HXC Community,
With the weather warming up, we finished our second week of practice and are making some nice strides (no pun intended). In some pretty hot weather, we had our first-time trial on Friday. Everyone competed well, and we had some really great times for this early in the season. Everyone who ran now has a starting point and a time that they can look to improve on. This upcoming week, we will have our first meets Tuesday at St. Charles Thompson and Thursday at St. Charles Wredling. All athletes will ride the bus to the meet as a team, but athletes can sign out after they race and ride home with parents. We do encourage all athletes to stay to the end of the meet to cheer on teammates, but we do realize sometimes schedules don’t allow for that, which is ok. At home meets you do not need to sign out. On Friday, we are going to have our first theme day which will be a “white out”. All athletes are encouraged to where as much white as possible and have fun with it! Creativity is encouraged.
